The University recently approved a University Policy on Communications with External Media. This policy gathers existing University policies regarding employee communication with external media into one accessible statement while also reaffirming the University’s continuing commitment to the principles of academic freedom. It incorporates policies on three distinct but related situations:
- Requests for Official University Position or Response
- Requests for Faculty regarding Subject Matter Expertise
- Personal Speech
