Better Request Forms

To submit a request for support from our office, users have been guide to email communications@business.uconn.edu or use our general request form.

In order to better serve our faculty, staff, and students for more specific and detailed requests, we have created more comprehensive online request forms. The information collected in these forms will help us better serve our audiences and will give our audiences more information and control.

  • Event Calendar – Submit an event to the online event calendars. This could include one-off events, recurring events, and even events which are not ready to be publicly posted. Submitting to the event calendar also kicks off our process for creating display monitor advertisements.
  • Display Monitor – Whether you have created your own slide for the display monitors or would like to request a slide be created for you, filling out this form will help guide our team in best serving your needs.
  • Case Competition Coverage – For requests to publicize UConn School of Business teams that place either first, second or third in case competitions

We are planning on creating custom request forms for general news & press submissions, blog submissions, and adding/editing/deleting online profiles.

Communications with External Media

The University recently approved a University Policy on Communications with External Media. This policy gathers existing University policies regarding employee communication with external media into one accessible statement while also reaffirming the University’s continuing commitment to the principles of academic freedom. It incorporates policies on three distinct but related situations:

  1. Requests for Official University Position or Response
  2. Requests for Faculty regarding Subject Matter Expertise
  3. Personal Speech

The Policy on Communications with External Media applies to the administration, faculty, staff, and all other employees, including student employees, at all campuses and programs. Please take a moment to review the full policy at: http://policy.uconn.edu/?p=7075.
